EU Consumer Rights

As a company based in Spain, we comply with EU consumer protection laws, including the 14-day withdrawal right (derecho de desistimiento) under Directive 2011/83/EU.

1. 14-Day Withdrawal Right

1.1 Your Right

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your subscription contract within 14 days from the date of purchase, without giving any reason.

1.2 How to Exercise This Right

To withdraw from your subscription:

  1. Log in to your Catalogador account
  2. Go to Subscription in your account settings
  3. Click "Request Withdrawal" (available within 14 days of subscription)
  4. Confirm your withdrawal request

Alternatively, you can contact us at billing@catalogador.com with a clear statement of your intention to withdraw.

1.3 Deadline

The withdrawal deadline expires 14 days after the day on which you subscribed to the Service.

2. Refund Process

2.1 Withdrawal Refunds

If you exercise your withdrawal right within the 14-day period:

  • You will receive a full refund of all payments made
  • Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal request
  • Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase
2.2 Processing Time

While we process refunds immediately, it may take 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your payment provider.

3. Waiver of Withdrawal Right

During checkout, you may be asked to acknowledge that by subscribing, you request immediate access to the digital service. If you provide this acknowledgment and the service has begun, you waive your 14-day withdrawal right for the portion of the service already provided.

This is in accordance with Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU regarding digital content supplied before the withdrawal period ends.

4. Standard Cancellation (After 14 Days)

If you cancel your subscription after the 14-day withdrawal period:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period
  • You will not receive a refund for the remaining period
  • You will not be charged for future billing periods
  • Your data will remain accessible on the Free plan after cancellation

5. Pro-Rata Refunds

In exceptional circumstances (e.g., service disruptions caused by us), we may offer pro-rata refunds for the unused portion of your subscription. These are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

6. Plan Changes

6.1 Upgrades

When upgrading to a higher plan, you will be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing period.

6.2 Downgrades

When downgrading to a lower plan, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for downgrades.

7. Subscription Renewal Disputes

If you believe you were charged incorrectly for a renewal:

  1. Contact us within 30 days of the charge
  2. Provide your account email and the date of the charge
  3. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days
